Sentro on Mass Media Treatment

Yesterday, Sentro anchor Iya Justimbaste and myself talked about how mass media, rightly or wrongly, treat different national personalities.

We think that the mass media is totally negative to President Arroyo and her administration. We also think that the mass media has ignored President-elect Noynoy Aquino before the death of former President Cory Aquino but has become very positive to him after and during the campaign, and then changing now that he is elected President.

We also assessed the Mass Media treatment of other personalities such as VP-elect Jejomar Binay, Sen. Mar Roxas, former President Erap Estrada, former Sec. Gibo Teodoro, and institutions such as the AFP and the Supreme Court.
